Using my mower for comparison.. If my diesel is burning 5g in 2.75 hrs.. then i just don't see the gas 5000 burning about 13g in that same time, at the same load... Obviously the mower load I'm using is not utilizing all 67 pto hp.. probably alot less.. somewhere around 45-55 perhaps.. thus the unit is not running at full load.. etc.. same would be true of the gasser.. less load. less fuel consumption. In either case.. I'm glad my 5000 is a diesel... etc. Soundguy
