Exhaust stub advice badly needed !!!

I've got an exhaust manifold here from a Continental 4 cylinder flathead engine. From the factory, this one had a threaded 1.5" pipe stub (half nipple) threaded into the exhaust exit on the cast iron manifold. The stub is in pretty bad shape, corroded badly etc. and I want to remove it from the manifold. Obviously, it's been sealing itself in there for 60 years and is in pretty tight so threading it out isn't possible. Any way you might suggest getting it out and hopefully leaving some remnants of the femaile pipe threads in the manifold? Your help is much appreciated.
