I have a 1961 Simplicity walk behind tractor with a model 19 Briggs and Stratton cast iron horizontal shaft motor. I've got no spark and am wondering how to test the coil. I've done car coils before with a multi-meter and assume the same can be done with this one (but I don't know how many ohms it should read).
Also, I tested the compression and found it to be 42 psi. Seems low to me; what do you think?
Finally, if I end up needing rings, a coil, and points and condenser, where is the best place to get them (decent parts and reasonable price).
