Stack two stock filters one on top of the other. don't worry about the gap in the stock housing, just get a longer bolt. That will give you good protection and plenty of air flow. For a scoop find one of the old Ranchero(sp) low profile non functioning scoops. I took a quick look but couldn't find a pic of my old 68 f-100. Looks sharp with that wide low profile scoop.
