Been to several extension programs that discussed this this last winter. Mich State has probably done more research on this than anybody,. So far they say after only two years of research that there was no advantage over convetional herbicide use. The advantage would obviously be where there are real invasive weeds that cannot be controlled otherwise and premiums paid for weed free hay and also time will tell if if will maintian a better alfalfa stand at 4 years +. Paul was incorrect to say you need to plant extra seed, you do need to spray the new seeding to kill the non round up resisitant seedlings.
