Hi, simple question that I am sure has been asked before... I am looking to buy a double axle trailer that has mobile home axles...one of the axles has brakes on it. I will haul a 4,000 lb tractor on it. I would like to use the brakes on the trailer to save the brakes on my F150. My truck has a brake controller under the dash from a previous owner, but it runs to a single prong hookup under the rear bumper...the truck has a 4 flat hookup, while the trailer is a 6 pin round hookup. What do I need to use them...a brake controller wired to a 6 pin hookup or will the trailer get it's brake power from my truck when the tail lights come on? Thanks!
