Put in a new 6v battery,30.00.Tractors seem to get stuck with worn out batteries, skinny cables and those clamp on cable ends that always corrode with acid.Buy a small hydometer for a buck and check your battery to make sure it is fully charged.3 years is about average life for a battery,A 5 year old battery is a rare bird.I have used Farmall As Cs Hs and Ms in cold weather with 6 volt systems with out problems.I use my Ford 600 in cold weather, its 6 volt and starts fine.Save the money you will waste on 12v parts, you will need it for 2.60 per gallon gas.
