This is a very interesting thread and I am glad that it was posted. Those rents are something we can only dream about in my area of NC. Here cash rents are $25 to $35 per acre per year for corn, soybeans and small grains. Many fields here are 10 acres or less with a very few of perhaps a bit over 100 acres. For that rent the landowner supplies only the raw land. Many hay fields get no rent at all, the only benefit to letting others make the hay is that landowner does not have to mow it to keep down the weeds. I hope other parts of the country chime in with their rates.
