Never work that far down, but you're right about cheaper land and everything. I'm figuring that if he's 35 west of Chicago, we're looking at Plainfield, Oswego, Aurora, and Yorkville area. I often work that area, have for years. One wouldn't recognize any of it from 5 years ago. Can't see beyond the houses.

Once start getting down into Livingston, Ford, Kankakee, and Iroquise counties alone, is nothing but wide open farm fields as far as the eyes can see. The prices of land drop down to 1/4 of that in Will, Grundy, and Kendall counties and are in a totally different world from Dupage county. If he's a trucker that wants to stay in Illinois, you're right - head anywhere south for a lifetime to come.
