Ken, I don't have one but yes it will work. You say you want to break the crust? Why not go ahead and pull the water line and cable in with the sub soiler? Make a couple of dry runs to break any roots or anything in the way. Then tie your lines to the subsoiler and have at it. The only shoveling is at each end. I've done several hundred feet per pull easily. This unsolicited advice is worth every cent you paid for it.:) Regards, Cosmo
