Had an old neighbor (originally from Nebraska- name was not Allan) who actually did the following: Put 1/2 stick of dynamite in the middle of a grocery sack full of pea gravel, in the middle of the field- sprinkled some grain around, so they would congregate- detonated it, and killed about 20 crows with the projectile gravel. Left the dead crows lying around the field, and that drove the rest of them off. Your results may vary. This was done in the '50's, when neighbors (and law enforcement) seemed to be more tolerant of eccentric behavior.
