Hi Billy, The box is made up of a series of "sissoring" crossbeams, which actually can be dumped either out the left side or to the right. You'll notice a couple of hooks to either side of the wheel openings. These were used via cables back in the days before the invent of hydraulics. When the truck dumps rearward, the lower fore/aft stringers in addition to the crossbeams are lifted as a unit. When it tilts sideways, two different cylinders are mounted in such a way that only those sissoring crossbeams are activated. Finally, two more cylinders are mounted horizontialy and at each end of the left sideboard and run that opener/closer linkage. It's dark outside or I would send you a picture. Instead, I scanned this one for ya out of the manual. After all the mending that needs to be done, I'll paint the sides and oil the floor with used engine oil. Allan
