Maybe you don't know this --- but there really are "snow snakes". The native Indians here in Ontario have snow snake games every winter. This consists of long wooden shafts, highly polished and thrown down especially constructed grooved runs made of packed snow. Believe it or not, these snakes have been known to travel up to nearly a mile or more!!
