I don't think you'd be sorry about the D-19. However with JD prices what they are, a $5500, 4010 with a new overhaul should be a good investment. Even if you put a little more money into it, it looks to me like you could get it all back if you ever wanted to. It's hard (although not impossible) to say bad things about how crazy high JD prices seem to be, when they seem to stay that way year after year. I bought a Corvette one time for way more than I could have gotten a lot of other nice cars. But 7 years later, when I sold it, I got a whole lot of money back. Same deal with John Deeres it seems to me.
