ACDelco Alternator installed on a 930 Case (in place of Generator) is WAY overcharging. Already burned out a set of lights and curcuit breakers. I know the Alternator works as I am using it from a JD 60 I converted last winter. I switched them when I started having trouble thinking maybe it was bad. I also tried a "Single" wire Alt from an auto shop which did not charge at all. This thing Really has me baffled as I have eliminated all possibilty of shorts etc. Also, the system was already set up as a Negative ground so I am sure the polarity is correct. Any ideas? It's on the charger tonight to see if maybe the battery is undercharged but it was strong enough to easily start the tractor and run lights etc. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
