I built the snowblower in the photo below 30 years ago, and the 261, which provides traction power to the unit finally died this winter. A piston broke. I have not pulled the head, yet, to see how much damage was done to the bore. An IH 304 truck engine sits low in the unit, and powers the blower, and a 261 Chevy mounted at the rear moves it.
