Had aField Queen forage choper long time ago that had aCat v/8 that would start cold an when hot wouldnt. You can turn large washer an have start till left to cool somewhat. Had a recond engine an after checking con rod bearings found they were too tight!!! an starter could not turn engine. Also had Cat955 that would not start. All that needed to be done was take solenoid apart an clean COROSION on parts . You can also do this on Delco starters used on Case such as 830- 930 an others
