I have 4 of these trucks at work 86-88"s. A 7000 series has a Holley carb that is OEM and it is nothing like aftermarket Holleys as it has a built in govenor plate. When I priced a replacement carb from Chevy it was close to 900 beans. For about 1200 beans I got a Throttle body fuel injection kit. It uses all GM parts and a custom wiring harness. It was a snap to install, the hardest part was welding in the bung for the oxygen sensor while lying under the truck. I have had this setup on one truck for about a year now and it is great. The company is Howell Engine Development. www.howell-efi.com HTH Jf
