I toyed with the idea that Ken relates below - plus stacking them two high, lean-to roofs on either side. That'd make for a heck of a big barn, with lots of rooms for different uses (half a 40 foot box as a spray booth!)

I priced them out - you can get 40 -footers delivered for about $1800 - $2000 each.

I didn't finish pricing out such a construction, but it does seem like you'd be close to the cost of a pole barn. In essence, I'g be spending about $8000 for two 40' x 16' walls (with additional rooms divided up into sizes that I'm not sure they be what I'd want.

Best use for them may be just for storage "as is" - my dad has an old aluminum trailer, cut off the axles and supports so it sits on the ground. It is 32 or 33 feet feet long, he fits 3 tractors in it for winter storage.

Plus, I (by "I" I mean my wife) decided that such a structure wouldn't fit too well into the neighborhood. So, we (by "we" I mean "I") will have to build something a bit more conventional and a little more expensive.
