I think the comment about not drilling on your property was a good one. If the gas deposits go under your property, they will just take the gas anyhow. If I didn't want the well on my piece, I would sign on for lease rights only. In PA, they put us into 640 acre chunks. If they hit on the chunk you belong to, everyone gets paid a percentage of 1/8. If they hit on your specific property, you get paid more (1/8 outright).
