Duramax problems!

Coming home from Indiania Saturday, my '05 Duramax started throwing a fit! I was just coming down an on ramp when it acted like somebody shut off the air. Found a Chevy dealer, but of course they wouldn't even consider looking at it until Monday. Limped it the rest of the way home, (200 mi.)running 55 mph. It just wouldn't run over 2000 RPM in any gear. Just kept acting like you shut the air off to it if the rpm got any higher. Anybody got ant ideas before it goes to Mr. Goodwrench?
