Plastic ring has disintigrated as the other two posters say,but it is not a job for someone who is not trained to rebuild the pump.It could wind up costing you a lot more if you try to do it yourself.The sooner you get it rebuilt, the less it could cost since continuing to run the tractor could cause even more damage to the pump.I have rebuilt more than my share of those thinks.
