There was a website called 6literpowerstroke.com specifically for that engine hosted by Ford mechanics. It is now part of Flatratetech.com I think. Loads of info and able to check a vin for repairs and recalls done by Ford. When I got my 04 6.0 I started looking at that site and the horror stories made me sick, but as time went on I realized that these were the bad trucks i was reading about. There are thousands of them with no problems. and yes all three brands have their problems.
