Not exactly on the subject and you horse guys probably know this already, but my local sawmill man refused to saw a small amount of walnut for me because he sells sawdust to people with horses and they don"t want any walnut sawdust because something in the walnut, maybe tannic acid, gets into the horses" system through the hooves and may kill them. KEH
