Way way too many problems with the new power stroke. The allison transmission is a awsome transmission, the duramax is a good motor. I really think you will like the warm up mode on a duramax and the double over drive. Esp if you are getting a 1 ton dully i am assuming you will run a 4.10 rear end and when you see your fuel bill you will scream but imagine waht it would be with out a double overdrive. The dodge cummins i will agree is the best best best best hands down motor you can buy right now but the rest of the truck is terrible, body and drivetrain, dodge has come along ways but still very very problematic esp their automatics. I would definitly go with the duramax. Ford has sensed so many problems and are going to a 6.4 motor. Gms design is strong enoguh there are talks of them going to a twin turbo in 08 but so far that is jsut talks.
