OT-350 / 305 swap-95 GMC

I use my 95 GMC pickup daily in my business and don't have a lot of time to do an engine swap, which I can tell will be in the near future. Is there any reason not to rebuild the 89 350 (5.7 liter) I have from another truck and stick that in when the time comes? I was just going to swap in the long block with heads, using manifolds, and externals from the 95 305 (5.0 liter). Will the computer be confused? Or will it not care?
