Guess I'm odd man out on this one or maybe it is because I just walked thru this same ordeal of reworking a 686 myself.

But, if that tractor is as straight as you say, has the 310 diesel and the only problem is a little 39 cent steering drift to it, I'd have the bill of sale by now.

Heck, that engine alone, if in good shape, is worth $4700 and they are one of the finest sized tractors IH ever put out.

But, they are a workhorse, not a lawn mower.
