Several guys I've seen pull use them. Wayne Longnecker uses a Merlin V12 with a metric ton of cubic inches. There are a BUNCH of Allison V12's out there. Have seen a couple of people pull turbine engines out of helicopters. Trick is, it's not like you call up Dennys carb shop and get a stroker motor for the things. Mega bucks to build, mega bucks to run. Guy I talked to at the Iowa State Fair thought it'd take a grand or so to buy an Allison. No idea how much it takes to switch to alcohol and add 2 turbo's. If you want a 6 banger aircraft engine, I've got a Lycoming I'd sell cheap. Think it's stuck though. Aaron SEIA
