The reason I questioned the rotors was it happened to me.... '98 1/2 ton 4x4. And the strange thing, same side- left. After the 3rd set of cheap 90 day rotors I got pissed and bought the 2 year rotors and life time ceramic pads. That was almost 30,000 miles ago, haven't had a problem since. The down time of R&R x3 would have more than paid for the good stuff the first time around. The comment someone made about the sensor is something I would check while I was that far into it.
