I use 15w40 rotella in all my tractors, year round. Even though you may not put a lot of hours on a tractor, you need to change the oil at least once a year. You get a lot of contaminants in the oil from use and you need to get it changed at least yearly to get all that out. Oil is cheap at $15.00 a year to increase the life of any engine.
