Yours, at 150 bucks new, is sort of a coin toss, because if the first patch doesn't stick, then you're into the cost of a new tire. That's a very good price you were quoted as well, as I priced several 12.4x24's yesterday that ranged from 275 for a 4 ply bias to 640 for a 1* radial. Those are priced in Canadian dollars. Think I'd just get the new tire and be done of it. FWIW,
