up here in mi. the place i get my laying mash (chicken food) the howard the owner said he could supply me with corn alot cheaper thanwood even and it's alot cleaner in the house and you can side vent out the side of the house. saves a bundle on having to build a chimney. but the cost is real high, like 1300.00. thats one reason i dont have one. i used to burn would for about 13 years ago, but the mess and i'm getting a little old to want to split wood and stack it and carry it through the house.i have nat gas now. boy did we get set up.wood is 50/wk x 4 =200.00/month. gas 150.00 and going up as i type.
