Other John, If its a Tekonsha, Im pretty sure they ALL wire like I do mine:: Black to a hot battery feed via a 30 amp circuit breaker at the source. Red is the sensor wire to the brake light controller/switch which gets hot when the regular brakes are applied. White is frame ground. Blue is what feeds the electric brakes. HOWEVER if you have a Yellow but no Black, my guess is thats the hot feed as you suspected. Heck if I know, do what Sammy suggested and Google the Vendor. John T in Indiana
