You may want to check with each states Gov. web site to see what there laws are. I moved from LA to TN in 01 with a 25' Penske truck and did not have to scale. This truck had a gas engine and only got 5-7 mpg. The Detroit should be a couple miles better, I would think. Be careful in the ice...
