Start with a compression test, or looking at the plugs to see which cylinder is burning different. Have you serviced it? Valve clearances? Plug wires? Plugs?
Anyways, try to find out why it is missing. Sounds like you can buy carb after carb until the cows come home and it will still miss! A bit of a money waster there!
What did these 5 people do? Did you specifically ask them to clean the carbs? Better to get someone to work on the rest of the motor to find the fault.
Mag or dist.? Could be a worn lobe, not opening points properly, crack in distributor cover, etc, etc.
Could be a worn lobe on the engine camshaft, not opening a valve completely.
Does it use oil? A broken ring? Worn valve guide so a valve won"t seat properly?
Just a few more ideas.
