wide front end conversion

how hard is it to change from a narrow front end to a wide? I have a 1940 John Deere B, and have a 1952 JD B parts tractor with a wide front end on it. Will the 1952 wide bolt on to the 1940 without fabrication, or is it a bolt on affair? Thanks much.
