Would be far safer if you could come up with an old grain box wagon with sides - perhaps 18 to 24 inches high. Will help prevent "fall-offs".
Also be sure to have plenty of lights - clearance lites, flashing taillights, rotating beacon off your snow plow truck, whatever you can come up with to provide a margin of safety. You can do a temporary lashup with a spare 12volt battery on board. You don"t want to get hit by any unaware motorists. Had a tragedy here a few years back. Don"t want any one else to go through that.
