I do that every year here, 20 years, use my haywagon, usually just ride on our 17 acres, flat rack, all relatives, no problem. Just a good time and it gives the '50 UTS/LP something to do!!! can't wait to get the '49 GTB/LP goin', not faster, but with MoPower!!!

Saw one on TV being used at a pick your own apple orchard somewhere in New England. They bolted 6 or 8 school bus seats to the wagon. Been on a few rides with my son this summer. Sitting in the straw gets tired after 30 seconds. I really liked the school bus seats !

Would be far safer if you could come up with an old grain box wagon with sides - perhaps 18 to 24 inches high. Will help prevent "fall-offs". Also be sure to have plenty of lights - clearance lites, flashing taillights, rotating beacon off your snow plow truck, whatever you can come up with to provide a margin of safety. You can do a temporary lashup with a spare 12volt battery on board. You don"t want to get hit by any unaware motorists. Had a tragedy here a few years back. Don"t want any one else to go through that.

Mike, its been my experience if you have the time??? and can attend several auctions??? you can often buy something like that cheaper then building it from scratch, PROVIDED it may not look or be exactly like what you had in mind PLUS you will still have to work on it some.

Just a thought
