Help on Select o Speed Tranny in 6000 ford

I have an opportunity to get a good deal on a 6000 ford with a select o speed tranny. THe tractor will not move. I know these trannys had many problems, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience working on them and what could be the main problems in them and possibly tips on building them. I will not use this tractor very much, so I am not looking for it to be a work horse or nothing. I just thought I might rake some hay or something with it. Any comments or advice will be appreciated Thanks, Vann Bradford
