Lou: To start with the sway chains are for nothing more than keeping plow from hitting tractor when plow is raised. Neither one should have any tension while plowing. You 3x16 plow requires a wheel tread setting of close to 66", center to center. That is aproximate as width of tire will affect this a bit. There is a chart published by most manufacturers giving distance from center line of tractor to inside of right rear tire. The distance is different for both number of bottoms plus width of cut of each bottom. There is a copy of this in the YT archives, somewhere. I had a copy for years but lost it when I moved.
