If battery is dead, no amount of charging will bring it back to life.
How long has it been discharged?
Does battery have electrolyte?
Big battery, small battery?
Try at 10 amps to see if it will take a charge.
If electrolyte simply electrolyses into hydrogen and oxygen and battery gets hot, cut down the charge, beware of explosion, if you cause any sparks near the battery, and hope. Nothing lost trying but.......
