Bubbles can indicate gasket failure around combustion chamber. The coolant will slowly?become acidic also. Oil can get in without that type of failure.
Eventually, you may find coolant can flow the other way (when the coolant system is hot and pressurised, and the oil pressure is zero). Unless you can find another reason for the contamination, it would be prudent to change out the gasket before lasting damage occurs.
Could it be a core plug leaking very slightly? (if cooling system is running unpressurised). Not likely but....
