every year our province sends a 40 ish foot christmas tree to the city of Bosten in thanks for that city's help after the largest man made explosion,till the Atom Bomb, hit our capital city of Halifax on Dec 6 1917.Almost 2000 people were killed and thousands left blind,homeless and well you get the picture.My granddad helped in the aftermath and he thought the world had come to an end ...

Our local news carried the cutting of the tree this past weekend and she's on her way by tractor trailer to Bosten as we speak...THANKS BOSTEN
