Our nearest town could use it, maybe. They did something similar last year. Used a helicopter and power company crews to put it up. Everything was donated, even the labor. You mentioned you are in the "northeast", could you be more specific.

I'll wade in without being asked, but if it is that nice I would limb it up and work with it.
Shame to cut it down what with 40 years of history.

every year our province sends a 40 ish foot christmas tree to the city of Bosten in thanks for that city's help after the largest man made explosion, till the Atom Bomb, hit our capital city of Halifax on Dec 6 1917.Almost 2000 people were killed and thousands left blind, homeless and well you get the picture. My granddad helped in the aftermath and he thought the world had come to an end ... "At 7.30 a.m. on December 6, the French ship Mont-Blanc left her anchorage outside the mouth of the harbour to join a convoy gathering in Bedford Basin. She was loaded with 2,300 tons of wet and dry picric acid, 200 tons of TNT, 10 tons of gun cotton and 35 tons of benzol: a highly explosive mixture"
Our local news carried the cutting of the tree this past weekend and she's on her way by tractor trailer to Bosten as we speak...THANKS BOSTEN

Saw a movie about that just last year.....can't remember the name of it. It is an interesting but tragic story.

That is a very interesting story and one I had never heard. I take it the ship blew up? Most interesting part is that it has been going on for nearly 90 years.
