My daughter smoked for a few years and it took her a few years to quit. You need to figure out what were your smoking triggers and avoid them. If you drink, stop or slow down, and avoid bars. You have to get away from the smoke smell and get it away from you. Clean the shop, clean the house, wash all your clothes, have the car/s and truck/s cleaned and deodorized.

If you smoked a lot, you may need medication (Welbutrin). The patches and nicotine pills don"t work very well because the nicotine in a cigarette hits you so much faster than the pills or patches can, and the patches can give you serious bad dreams.
