Wife and I quit smoking 32 yrs ago after smoking for 20 yrs. Consider yourself a Nonsmoker and get rid of all ashtrays in your home. Clean the ashtray in your vehicles and put an air freshner in. The things you always did as you smoked find other things to occupy you. Listen to the radio a lot and keep your mind occupied on other things. When you make it three weeks you will be over the hump and the urge will get less and less each day. There will be times that your habit will surface it`s ugly head when you least expect it. That will be a fleeting thought then you can go on with out a smoke. Still after all these years I can smell cigarette smoke on a rainy day and I will get the urge but just ignore it. When I quit they had just reached 65 cents a pack. At 2 to 3 packs a day just look at the spending power I have had all these years. That is a chunk of change.
