The 1950 has that great little Detroit 4-53 engine which has great durability and power. The 1950T is a classic example of turbocharging and cranking up the power 30% on an engine that was never built for it. That little 310 walk-apart engine that was fairly durable at 60-70 HP non turbocharged, was a disaster at 105+, with few lasting 2500 hrs. By the time most blew up,they had blown a half dozen or more head gaskets. I have seen cracked blocks, cracked liners, broken rods, broken crankshafts on this sorry engine. Bad idea. I still run two of them(1950T) that were repowered with reliable engines 30 years ago. Good tractors except for that sorry engine.
