I assume you are talking about the belt heads that look like a corn head. They work fine for beans in rows. Disadvantage is that is the only crop you can use it on so you need another head if you want to do drilled crops such as wheat. The grain head or as I call them grain platforms can be used on both wide or narrowed row corps.Just my opinion.
