I read thru all the posts below before coming to the conclusion that THAT thing has to be the dumbest idea for splitting wood I'VE ever seen.
Darwinism at it's best on that car rim!! Now, if a guy really was stuck on the idea of the screw, I can think of several ways to use an old bush hog gear box and 3pt to make VERTICAL set-ups that would work fast, and SAFE. my .02 jim
