I'm guessing that you're talking about a piston pump on a thousand series Ford? I've not had the pleasure myself, but in past conversations, I've been advised to get the tool should the need ever arise. You might also post this over on the Ford board, or check the archives there. I know it's been addressed in the past, and may have been sotxbill that had some suggestions on how to do that without the tool. That said, I know that the dealers in my area realise that there's no need being difficult about loaning out a tool like that from time to time. They might want a reference or a deposit, but I've always found them to be pretty good. HTH. Rod
